This Covenant of Prayer was originally developed by a committee of clergy from many of the denominations of metropolitan Richmond. All Christian churches are invited to participate. We pray for the more than 1.2 million people who live in this historic capital city of Virginia, in all of its jurisdictions – Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, City of Richmond, the towns of Ashland, Hopewell, Petersburg, as well as the counties of Goochland and New Kent.
This is a cooperative, covenanted effort of the churches of Metropolitan Richmond. We pray together each Sunday for the common concerns of our Metropolitan Richmond community.
Please use the Sunday themes however the Spirit leads. We do not tell one another how to pray. We only covenant to pray together in one accord for God’s transformation and healing of our metropolitan city.
